Through the beautiful art and craft of therapeutic massage, we can help you feel more relaxed and peaceful, as well as help to relieve pain and discomfort due to muscle strain, illness, fatigue, physical activity, or life stress. Whether you get a 45-minute focused massage or a head-to-toe 90-minute massage, you will leave our office feeling happier and healthier.
In addition to inviting a deeper state of awareness, inner stability, and confidence, regular massage therapy also provides many physiological benefits. Therapeutic massage lengthens tight, shortened muscles; brings oxygen to the body’s tissues; increases circulation; flushes toxins and metabolic wastes; aids digestion; enhances the immune system; quickens the healing process; alleviates pain; and lowers blood pressure. Additionally, massage helps to decrease anxiety and depression, relax the central nervous system, and improve sleep.
We understand the value of creating a beautiful and safe environment where our clients feel nurtured and appreciated. We use excellent products on your skin including pesticide-free jojoba oil (closest to the skin's natural sebum) or organic massage cream, and essential oils (not synthetic fragrances). Your table is warm (unless you prefer otherwise) and layered with sheepskin to provide extra comfort. You will be draped to protect your modesty and to create an atmosphere of respect and safety.
Most therapists and day spas give you sixty minutes or less on the massage table. Our "hour" sessions are actually 70-minutes so you can enjoy the greatest benefits and deepest relaxation from your work with me. There is no extra charge for deep tissue work or essential oils.
